oh man i cant imagine this is just the start of my three months vacation. was really looking forward to it at first. but now totally not. mommy found herself a job. great for her at least she's got something to do. but something for her to do means nothing for me to do. and everyone just seems so busy. im soooo free that im now lying on my bed in my lil aircon room trying to take a short nap before my next tuition starts at 530pm. now is 3 and i've been in bed since 12pm. and yes it's nap. come on only aunties take nap and thats something i used to say. and the weather is wonderful but my lil eyes just dont shut.

perhaps it really time to plan a good timetable for myself. like wake up in the morning working out a recipe after breakfast then cook, draw and read in the noon before my lessons on party planning starts at 5pm on channel 16. oh well but this cant go on for three n a half months which is almost a hundred days. maybe i can take up some courses like baking class or designing class. and thanks god i've got myself a free eye lashes blooming session at browhaus and a lunch date with wan tmr. great.

i can's wait for special sem to start and hope i'll be busy then.

came across this place while watching a show. its just like heaven, i guess this will definitely be the place i'll go when i retire. maybe someday when im lost, this is a place where i'll be. well this place is cold all round the season and it just suits people like me who cant stand walking on the street in the thirty degree celsius weather under the big fat hot sun. oh but for now, it's a so near yet so far dream place.

the belated birthday surprise.

this week was a super busy week. tue was our 111presentation. i guess roger and girls were kinda stunned by special outfit. like roger said, we had lovely curlers, shower cap and other props like mask, cushions and human-made weighing machine. oh well its really hard for u know glam girls like us to have curlers around our head haha but its so damn fun. and i really hope our hard work and fantastic idea do pay off well. after that fish, ruan mianmian yuting, yanyan and me decided to have very mini and own back to school day so we wore our respective jc uniform. wahoooo. ITS SO GREAT TO BE IN UNIFORM. something i only learn to appreciate now. haa and we wore it to matlab but its kinda paiseh to keep everyone's stare on us. then i had jap lesson. senei was like: 'joey-san. nani o desu ka?' haha' and of cos i just errrr. haa cos i totally dont know how to answer her in jap. and stupid me brought camera without sD card that day. so no preetty photos ):

wed, thur and fri was super tiring. physix, 122 and 112 midterms. and thank god its over. and so we girls decided to go pizza hut for a little treat. and we found out a new canteen 10 (jp's pizzahut)! haa its totally like packed with ntu peeps. and we see people we know everywhere. my 4 darlings decided to give a belated birthday surprise with cute hello kitty cake which i whined for while buying wanmei's cake a month ago. haha. we had the pizza hut people to keep our cake while we carry on with the food and i just happily told them it was my birthday when they asked who's the birthday girl. and i soon regretted saying that. after we finished our yummie food we asked for the cake. and the lights suddenly dimmed. at one moment i thought it may be just that the lightbulbs fused or they're trying to be romantic. but NO! it was followed by birthday song played from some kiddo cd. GOSH it was like super duper paiseh. they had the candles lit up and the waitress came up to shake my hand and said happy birthday. i totally dont know where to hide my face. haa. oh well this is the most maluating but funny birthday surprise ever. and perhaps my only birthday makan session this year. all thanks to pizza hut. but the most paiseh thing wasn't that they sang birthday song for me under the dimmed romantic light. the whole point is that TODAY'S NOT MY BIRTHDAY AT ALL! haa lucky they dont have like birthday special treat then ask for my i/c or student pass to verify. haha.

lessons learnt.

it's been 20 days since daddy left. think within this pretty short period of time i've learnt and realised alot. be it the good or the bad things. yes hurray, joey's no longer that young blur little girl.

Lessons learnt:

1. never believe what people promised. they're all bullshit.

2. your closest people may not be the best to you. but the best people will always be your closest people.

3. to live on and live well we gonna be ourself and love people we should love and leave no regrets.

4. never expect people to be nice to you. but be nice to yourself.

5. never expect to get back 100% of what you've contributed be it love, time or money.

afterall the key to survival in this world is to be a selfish brat who only cares bout him/herself. but is life going to be better off that way? perhaps im too naive in the past to think that everyone should deserve what they get according to how much contribution and effort they put in. but apparently the world is just not functioned in this way. we will never get what we give. and worse we get nothing. of cos to the closest people we should never care how much we give cos these people are our special ones. but when reality hit your face, u will realised how ugly and heartless this world can be. oh well, life still goes on. maybe we just need someone close to constantly remind us that there is still love in this world and there are still true people who're true to you. as for me they'll be my mommy, my family and those specials darlings whom no need to be mentioned cos u know who u are.

i've lost someone whom i've never learnt to love and appreciate, and even took him for granted. for now its too late for anything to be done. so i really do hope everyone will learn to appreciate and show all your concern and love to your closest one. perhaps this is just one selfish act of mine to hope u guys can fulfill what i haven't and could never be done. but being able to love one is definitely the best ever thing in the world just like being loved by someone.

this is definitely the best 20th birthday present. daddy is just so scared that a super blur sotong like me will forget him so he chose a day i'll always remember and he make sure he'll always be the first to give me his blessings every year.

and wasn't this what i wanted posted for my 2008's birthday wish list before. he heard my wishes and he dont wana me to be alone.

was recess-ing last week. planned tonnes of activites except studying for myself. and im soo sooooo dead cos phy n maths tests are coming but i have not freaking idea whats going on.

monday: slacking and tuition day

tuesday: went Feng Zheng Jie's Primary Colours with cheryl chan. it was GREAT. ten stars.
and we had great lunch at the jap food bazaar @ city hall. its damnit good. ten stars too!!!!! yum yum.
and i swear that i gona do a painting as big then have my own exhibition at a great gallery like SAM.

wednesday: slacking and tuition day

thusrday: celebrated celena's birthday and went chinatown/bugis for a lil spreee. went back to my drawing class to visit the uncles aunites n check-out details for the art exhibition. got my first pressie from cel. haa.

friday: meet up with my long-time-no-see friend shirlyn wong. haa and i almost cant recognise her. and we went shopping at bugis again. i love stockings.

saturday: slacking and tuition day.

sunday: celebrated emm's birthday. met alana and dear decent wanhua. got my second pressie from wan. tonnes of kitties hahaha. love it.

daddy's supposed to disharge this week and i thought mommy and daddy will be able to celebrate 'my special turing 20 day' wih me then. but mommy just called and said they wont be back till mid of next week or even later. well what else can i say. went to emm's party i really very xian4mu4 cos all her family n friends spent that special day with her. well people's been asking what i really want this year. think the only thing on my 2008's wish list is to spend great time with my lovely family and my darling friends other than u know actually i also feel like changing my lappie, phone etc. haa but all these things just became so unimportant as compared to people u love. and i watched lydia shum's memo ceremony. its kinda touching and i really cant imagine what will be like when someone close to u left. though i always thought life still gona carry on but things gona change after someone left. so we should love everyone as much as we can so there wont be any regrets in future :) i miss everyone.

joey is getting pretty pissed off with somethings but well im going to handle it with high EQ.

haa so whats really the art of communication. lotsa things happened recently between
people and people be it conflicts, communication breakdown or misunderstandings.
actually most of the things can be brought across easily but we human just love to make
things more complicated. haa humans are just troublesome mammals.

well or maybe generation gap is just something too hard to understand. sometimes
communicating with someone of the older generation can really drive us to nuts like
what chinese loves to say like chicken talking to duck or duck talking to chicken.
basically alien lingo haa. well i guess thats something no one can change and they
are our seniors. what else can we do.

but sometimes i just cant understand them taking for example how my aunties dote my
daddy. yes i know he's not well now and need great support and care. but love is
something which need not to be showed. and its definitely not just visiting him n times
a day or even to extreme that if u dont c him u wont be able to eat sleep or loo. well thats
not what its suppose to be. in this world it doesnt means that someone will die without
someone and the earth will not stop revolving without anyone. reality may be painful
or heartbreaking but its something we should learn to accept and suck it up. maybe im a
heartless brat but we dont live for one another. we live for ourselves. and so whats the art
of communication and how should u go about communicating with ur seniors. haa teach me
man or maybe i should just close my eyes shut my ears and turn away. but hey thats so
impolite. thats probably what people will say. cos people older than you are always ~~right.~~

haa something funny to share. recently there's an article on some taiwanese people
criticizing singaporeans' singlish. haa its kinda ironic. but well thats just my
point of view. take no offence. haa here comes.. 'i am a people' while i think
he's prob trying to say 'im just a human' or what.

are contem art work so mayb not many will appreciate but im going! probably during
the recess break (: wahoooo. haa im a big fan of contem art larh esp those by our

was freaking busy with exams at first then daddy then tuition again.
exam was oook. at least i PASSED PHYSICS! gosh first time after jc life.
but dont think i really did well for the rest cos i bet there'll be many
straight As in the course. well daddy's much better. really gonna thanks
all darlings (*you know who u r) who were with me all the time (: love you.
i picked up tuitions again. im sure many ppl r going to scold me ha.
but for the sake of $$. cant help it haha.

lotsa meetups last week.
thurs: met cheryl for haircut. met lamerz at pitstop.
fri: gathering with students at my place.
sat: fishie's home xmas party. met up with yao at westmall. it was a total COINCIDENCDE ha.
sun: went emm's church with yao and long time no see cel. met alana hong who i totally couldnt recognise.

anyway i was out for a short getaway last few days at pungol ha.
another alien place in singapore. but that place was really great (:
stayed over at my cousin place for 4days 3nights while daddy was in
hospital for blood transfusion. i miss my bed! totally...

just wanna share this video from BBT. argh totally cried throughout when
i watch it. anyway met this guy from nus who was just 3 years older than me.
he's dad was down with leukemia. was really impressed by all the things
he did in hospital.his mum told us that he actually even stayover there to
accompany his dad. so sweet.

joey really felt so lucky to be able to love everyone. muack muack muacks.

thanks darlings. im all back to normal i guess. haha. PSLE and secondary school's
exams gonna be over. yay. im more relax now cos less tuition less trouble. haa.
sometimes i think im really not a great tutor. im really blur at times. but well

my room's finally done. my new bed's finally here. havent been sleeping on bed
for like 4years?! haha the feeling's kinda weird. well but i gona say my bed is
damn cool. i feel great being a single child esp when it comes to room. i can do
whatever i want to my room. im a lucky girl.

and sai! there's a great diff larh haha i removed a partition.
its more spacious now haa.

here's a drama to recommend. Goong S. haa the cast is definitely not as great as

school's getting better. at least im awake.listening and catching bit of what
they're trying to say. i really got to say i love guanleong and tehbeng's lesson.
i love organic chem haha. and of cos not to remember our oh-so-cool hair bengang.
though he's boring. he got a cool hair. he's cool. but now i really think im going
to become a mad chem freak, tampering with our molecular model set and mugging
in my chem textbooks. haha i've got tonnes of chem books on my shelf now. its scary.

well last 2 weeks were fruitful. met up with people and had quite a bit of fun
in school. had lab as usual and we took photos! in our lab coats and in the
lab (secretly) haha.

just met up with yao and melgan for a short fish and co. lunch after the
draining 3hours maths lecture. and as usual we indulge ourselves in gossip
gossip gossip. ha. and we got a lil drink treat from yao since he complained
that he has no where to spend his money. and i really got to stress 'its just
a drink'. haha.

school's still crazy. still struggling to keep my eyes wide open during classes
and training my legs to be stronger so i could walk and climb those hills and
steps without muscles aching and complains. k shall stop grumbling. haha.

my life is all about school, tuition, sleep, checking out tutorials at ntu.com
and printing notes. haha im lifeless. now everything's like back to the same
old days. but still feel kinda weird without going to school with celly and thiri,
hanging out in school with 52 peeps esp wan and emm, and going home with emm and
yao. well i really need somemore time to adapt to this new life. uni wasnt as easy
and relax as what everyone told me. its terrible. lectures are fast like bullet
train. the sch compound is soooo big and confusing that we still lose our way now
and then. and the queue in canteen is driving my stomach crazy. haha but after soo
much grumbles there's still something great. i met great and nice people from 'everywhere'.

yuanyu aka yuanyuan: she's my first fren in ntu. well great thing bout her is that
she's not a slacker. haha she listens during lectures. great study partner. and
one thing. she got no sense of direction.
gillian aka meiping: she's the first rah person i know. haha very much like wanhua
and myself. vain and slack and most imptly bitchy. she got no sense of direction
too. haha. they should be glad to have me. haha. im the pro navigator.
jazreel aka neighbour labby: she's from nanhua. haha i found her familiar on the very
first day and always though she's from sa. haha im wrong. she's friendly. just like me.

i gona stick with these people for the next 4 years. haha yippeeee (: hurray for them.

today's my first officially day @ntu. first lesson was phy lec. sian x9. thought i chose a bio chem course, meaning no more phy. but what a start. haha. lectures kinda different from jc. no more sch u. no more restriction. cool. well i really got to say ntu is damn big. though our lessons are just at the N and S part, yet we still lost our way today haha. its really dumb. met many ppl like munfong, valerie, yingying, andrea etc. but why. seems like all people whom im super uber close to are all in nus.

freshmen welcome ceremony last fri. its kinda interesting esp when all the big shots in the sch wear their grad coat or robe or whatever ppl call it. coool. and we got to wear a robe too. something like what a lawyer wear but in navy blue instead. oh and there's this 'lights up' thingy. where they want everyone to light up the torch like kallang wave from front to back. haha pretty dumb but still interesting. ha.

i) celena tan left on tue 24july. though didnt manage to really send her off through
the depart big big window but i did gave her a hug before she go (: i'll miss her.

ii) lamerz settlers cafe gathering. we had sooo mnay meet-ups this year. haha hurray
for all 5 of us. yay. well as usual i was late cos of tuition. played stupid games
and laughed and i spilled coke on fel. oops sorry =/ had lotsa fun with the games esp 'galloping pigs'.
i just oh so love pigs haha. and as usual they had great time teasing and laughing at me ?@#!@$

iii) school's starting. and i've yet to make any friend in my course. i shall be a
loner and anti-social. both sai and my student said i look dao and unfriendly when
i dont talk and smile. oh no thats not the case. im friendly!!! haha so people
please come talk to friendly joey. hope everything will be fine on the first day.

last week was kinda hectic. many things going on. but i really had a great time.
haha shall share the oh-so wonderful week with you guys one by one. hee hee

12july2007
well this day was mr kek yaoyao's BD. haha but we ditched him for a more important
person - CELENA TAN YI ZHI. haha well he's chionging in neesoon camp anyway.
we (me emm thiri) planned a farewell day for celena. first part was ZOO. oh i finally
got to go zoo. trust me it's DAMN FUN?!!@!?@!?@!#@! haha we practically visited
all the animals there. yipeeee i got to see ah meng!
haha and my fella frens kangaroos and piggs.

later part of the day was a surprise makan session for celena. met up with the rest
of the people weiyann, vk, melgan, ling, sugato and weijun to prepare the dinner at
cel's place while thiri and eugene asked cel out for movie heehee. wooo we had
tonnes of local foodie. satays charkuaytiao hokkienmee meegoreng rojak carrot cake
chicken wings etc.

14july2007 (day)
lamers manytimes a year gathering @ my place. as usual we had cup noodles and this time
with chicken wings! sorry for not getting the stingray. didnt know the store closed
down larh haha. and we all watch 200pounds beauty AGAIN. haha except simin who didnt
joined us for the movie last last mth. then celebrated sai's bd haha. the surprise
was 'perfect' and as usual we prepared the candles and cake in my toilet again haha.
then we had this 'joey loves burning ppl's hair' series of photo collection. think
they're damn scared i'll really burn their hair haha. and then sai came up with a more
fun way to eat cakes. with 5 different cutleries: fork, spoon, cake knife, chopsticks
and the thing used to fry food. cant recall what you call it. haha. and lucky me
first got the fork, mt got spoon, sai got cakeknife, simin got chopstick and
poor fel who lost got the cooking thing. haha damn funny esp the way she eat haha.
that was he best part of the day. haha and they got dragged to watch BBT with me haha.

14july2007 (night)
met up with emm and yao for a super late dinner @imm ajisen. well its suppposed to
be mr kek yaoyao's belated bd treat but it ended up like a teasing him session
with the both of us knowing some things that can make him 'shy' for once haha.
and this oh-so NICE actually got us someting from brunei. was so happy at first until
he took out the thing he got for us. a postcard for us. or rather half a post card
with a mosque that the king built which cosy US$500million, a thing that he kept
emphasizing. haha dooono what is going thru his mind to get such an idea to cut the
post card into half. like cutting watermelon into half one for emm and one for me.
hahahhaha. well at least he thought of us in brunei. what else can we ask for.
that's kekyaoyao haha.

BBQ @ limchukang

yay. many times once a year family bbq again. seems like this year my family quite
on. got lotsa activities haha. well this time's at Lim chu kang. some ulu place
with lotsa factories and army camp. haha but the place was great. its actually
my uncle's fish and plant 'farm'. the place is totally good for BBQ xcept that its bit too
dark at night. and i must say the owner is damn best. he actually has a crocodile as
his pet?! damn cool. but the croc looks ugly. haha damn dirty too. haha we had so much fun (:
esp with tonnes of satay and stingray. yummy mee goreng and MUSSELS! omg! its sinful...

the bbq pits were all manual-made by that 2 MAN. haha cool.

FOOD.
